Hello again, Taipei!
Today, Andy Gargh and Jia En have finished their two-weeks project in taoyuan and gonna move to another county in Taiwan named Hualien. So sad to get separate with them because they are really good partners for this project. So long, Andy and Jia En!
To kill our boredom, we ask for Kumu;s permission to let me and Nia spend the Christmas holiday in Taipei, exacyly in Puji's dorm in Shianjia. Thanks God, she allows us to go and here we are, back again in Taipei for the following two days!

CHRISTMAS EVE!
So this is my first time celebrating Christmas, by the way. Not officially celebrating, but me and Nia only participating and enjoying the Christmas eve held by the local church in Taoyuan and they invite me to gather with them.

Hello Taoyuan!
SO THE PROJECT IS OFFICIALLY STARTED! FYUH!
I live in a hostfam here named Kumu Loba. People call her as "Kumu Ai ( seems like sister in English). First day in her house, I meet her family. The family is quite big. There is a couple named Mommy and Daddy, and then Kumu, then Kumu has a daughter named Iya, Iya has a son named Eun-Eun and also a husband (although they are not married yet) named Akay. Quite confusing, huh? Me too haha..
Oya, here in taoyuan, I meet Andy Gargh, another EP from Aiesec Australia and Jia En Koh, a sweet trainee form Aiesec Singapore. Sadly, they have been in Taoyuan for almost ten days and just have around four days left to be spent with me and Nia.
First day in Taoyuan: quite excited because Andy and Jia En ask us to go to Kumu's new office that located not too far from the house. They explain a little bit about Tayyal tribe (one of aboriginal tribes in Taiwan) that becomes the focus of our project, "Touch Truly Taiwan".
Hmm, nothing else to be said. The rest of the day is spent by helping Kumu organizing her new office.
P.S The internet connection is hard to get. So sad!

Hello Taipei!
This is the fifth day of my exchange time in Taiwan. Still in Taipei (in the morning and in the afternoon) and gonna go to start my project in an area named Shi-Ko-Tai in Taoyuan, not so far from Taipei by the way..
But actually, some of my friend in TPLC asked me and Nia to hang out in Taipei. They ask us to go with them to Sanxia Old Street in Taipei. Just take bus number 916 and Voila, we'he arrived in this beautiful place!
Having fun in Sanxia Old Street can release my burden of the project that is still blur. Violet and Eva, new friends that we just met, are really kind and nice. And the taste of Roti Banteng is super duper delicious and there is no other bread in this world that can compete it haha!

Today I don't have any schedule to do, and I need to stay at the office because Aurel has the class in the morning. I had a good sleep in her apartment ( Alhamdulillah) and also got the same breakfast like what I got in the second day in Taipei.
Spending time in the office is good because at least I can connect to the internet and surfing with fast connection. Oh yeah, Taiwan has a really high speed connection and its kind of blessing to get an easy access to the internet.
Oya, I get new friend here. She is not an Aiesec-er but she is very nice. She is a singer and be in NTPU for having singing competition. Let's greet Phu Shian :)
Another hours left, and I need to wait until 6 o'clock for attending the LC meeting. To kill the time, this is the current activities I do: blogging.

Third day in Taipei. Still cannot start the project yet due to the the problems of confirmation, and we need to get back to NTPU and stay at the Aiesec's office until we get the fixed place to sleep. Thanks God, I get the room for sleep in Aurel's room, behind the NTPU and she is really nice.
Actually, my current mood for the day is not so good. I really want to start the project immediately, and I'm a little bit tired of bringing my luggage everytime we need to move, but hey you are not on holiday, you are here for exchange rite! Just keep in your mind that's everything will be fine, try to adapt quickly, and enjoy every moment in Taiwan whether it is good or bad.
To spend the day, I try to make presentation about Indonesia, keep sharing stories with another TPLC member, get along with them and also surfing in the internet. Thanks God (again) I have a really kind boyfriend that is pleased to help me every single second (wah lebay-nya keluar) even if he's busy with his thesis stuffs. (sedikit curhat)
Spending almost 6 hours in the office, finally I meet Aurel and bring my luggage to her apartment that is located not so far from NTPU. Then, we decide to have dinner with another member in Taiwanese traditional restaurant. I should only pay NTD 80 for the meal, ah I forget to get the pictures, so bad :(
Over all, I try to keep in my mind to keep professional doing my internship time in Taiwan. If we got any problem, try to handle it first, don't be panic, then if you need to complain, do it in a good way without hurting each other's feeling because I know that people here are also try to be professional. Then, just let it flow.
While killing the geje time, Ling-da, one of the member, is pleased to stay at the office and spending time with us. She also accompanying us to get our lunch in 7-eleven. One unique thing is that me and Nia teach her how to wear veil and she is pleased to try using veil :)
I also meet Vicky's classsmate in her department, Business Administration. Vicky said to me that her classmates really curious about me and really want to know me, then we meet when me have dinner near the NTPU. All of them is so nice and curious about Indonesia, they ask about several daily expressions in indonesian language, so I teach them how to say "Nama saya bla bla bla", "Apa kabar?", and "Senang bertemu dengan Anda". It's funny and interesting haha..
I end the day by skype-ing with Harist, telling him that I'm fine at that day, and go sleep in midnight.
I think I'm so lucky to have a partner (partner?) like him. #justsayin :)

Place : NTPU, Taipei Metro Station, Starbucks, National Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall
Second day in Taipei, I need to wake up early to have the training session with another Aisecer that will explain the job description of the project that I will do during my time in Taiwan. So, Vicky bring us to Starbucks, not so far from NTPU and it takes about 15 minutes walk (yeah we need to walk everywhere haha) and it is another culture that need to be adapted by me as an Indonesian girl who is always lazy to walk and prefer to drive car or take public transportation to go everywhere :p
Along the way to Starbuck, we pass a street that attracts us a lot. This street is called as the art street (Vicky told me that) because along the street we can find many arts especially moshaict (mozaik?) in ceramic that made by Taiwanese artists in order to break the world record.
Walking along Taipei is very nice. You don't need to worry about the polution, get sweat, or feel unsafe.
Soon after we arrive at Starbucks, we need another Aiesec-er members name Louis Lee and Trista that explain us the job description of this project. They are very nice, and Louis Lee told me how to make a simple website using an application named Wix that can be accessed through www.wix.com. It's quite easy and simple.
We only spent less than an hour for this training session. So, Vicky asked us whether we want to walk around the town or go to tourist attraction in Taipei. Yeah, then we decide to go using Taipei Metro to go to National Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall. First time using MRT, first time seeing modern public transportation, and I feel so amazed.
National Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall is very beautiful. We don't need to pay any ticket entrance, and it is ok to take pictures around that place.
Gonna end this trip by going to Vicky's house, and Gosh I don't know the name of the area, but her mom is so kind and nice, serve us with Taiwanese traditional foods and provide us nice room to sleep. We owe you a lot Vicky, thanks for accompanying us today!
